Paranormal shows have become a staple of mainstream television. From Ghost Hunters: TAPS, to Most Haunted, to a variety of specials and shows on the unexplained, the world is still as obsessed with ghosts as they always were.
But did you know you can take it away from the TV, and catch your own real ghost footage and evidence? Ghost hunting is a great way to get into the spirit of Halloween, or just to have a good time with your family or friends. Conducting an investigation is easy, you just need a few materials and guidelines.
First of all, be careful of the location you select. Make sure it isn’t protected, and that you have permission to be there. If it is a private residence or business you will be trespassing unless you get consent. You should also make sure there are no hazards, such as the area being condemned.
Second, you need a ghost hunting kit. This is easy to put together, and should have mostly common sense items, such as a pen, paper, camera, sound recorder, flashlights, and a first aid kit. You can also purchase more advanced items, such as EMF meters, online. These are great for investigations.
